Southern Ontario's #22 Kart Since 1983

Founder Bob Norman began his karting career in the early 80's under the same kart number we race to this day. After many trophies, championships and years as his club's president, Bob handed the seat over to his grand-daughter, Aliya. He trained her to drive, to tune, and most importantly, to stand strong regardless of her minority in racing. The team has grown since then, but two things will always stay the same -- our number & our passion for equality.

Girls Race, Too

Girls are born with the same drive for competition as boys, yet, 1-in-3 girls drop out of sports by their late teens. This statistic is even more staggering in a sport as male-dominated as motorsport. Aliya's passionate about reminding girls to remain in sports, regardless of the obstacles in their way.

Racing FAQ

Karting sometimes referred to as kart racing is a form of motorsport that races an open wheeled, single axle vehicle called a racing kart. These karts resemble those that you might have raced recreationally called "go karts", albeit with a more race-tuned engine and chassis.

There's lots of responsibilites to be had at the track, and it'd be very difficult for the driver to handle it on their own. So, each team is usually comprised of a group of staff, all contributing to make the season as smooth and safe as possible. For example, a mechanic would keep the kart competetive and safe, a manager would deal with registration and scheduling, and a trainer would look after the safety of the driver and crew.

Karting is a co-ed sport with no separation of gender. All racers compete in the same league, within their specific weight and age class. Female drivers have the same fairness and chance to be great as their male peers. Being a female-driven team, we encourage young (and not so-young) ladies to get involved in racing! It's a great way to grow confidence and competetive nature.
